MAX MOTHES GmbH

History and Presence

Our company was founded in 1918 and is family-lead since 5 generations. In more than 90 years we have established ourselves as Europe’s leading provider for mechanical fasteners.

After World War 1 the company focused on trading with screws, nuts and fasteners of all kinds. In 1921 the company was expanded by a manufacturing site. After continuous growth, in 1953 our customers were able to choose from more than 20,000 different items.

Thanks to the relocation of our stock capacities to Neuss-Uedesheim (near Dusseldorf) in 1993 we were able to increase our readiness for delivery considerably. The high rack warehouse there offers enough space for more than 18,000 pallets. Today we can ensure the permanent availability of more than 90,000 items.

In our corporate production with the latest machinery we additionally manufacture customized screws and designed components with more than 50 qualified employees, according to our customers’ demands. We supplement our trading assortment with items from special single parts up to mid-sized series and therefore we offer our customers a broad assortment and unconditional quality from one hand.

In 1992 we were able to realize the first kanban solution for a customer. Currently we support more than 100 kanban systems – among others also for world-market leaders from the ranges of transportation, agricultural machinery and plant construction.

Altogether, we currently have about 300 employees at the locations in Dusseldorf and Neuss. Meanwhile more than 10,000 customers, from global players to small manufacturing companies, and from different branches trust in our competence and experience. We ship our products throughout the world.
